Bronze statue of woman embracing herself at Jardin des Tuileries.

Eve is one of a group of three sculptures by Auguste Rodin at the terraces of the Orangerie in Jardin des Tuileries.

He created Eve in 1881, showing her as a woman having given into temptation.

She holds herself, at the same time pushing away something with one of her hands.

Her right leg stands on the ground, her left foot leans against a rock.

She stands next to L'Ombre.
