The statue representing Oceania by Mathurin Moreau is in front of Musée d' Orsay.

The black cast iron statue is one of several commissioned in 1877 for the 1878 world exhibition. It stood on the terraces of the first palace at the Trocadero. In 1986 it was moved outside the Musée d'Orsay.

Oceania is sitting on a rock. She has some fur draped over her right leg but is otherwise unclothed. Her shoulder-length hair is held in place by a headband.

At her right side sits a little kangaroo.
