The stone figure of Amsterdam is above the second plinth from the left outside Gare du Nord.

The statue of Amsterdam by Charles Gumery (1865) is one of the eight larger figures on the cornice line of Gare du Nord, representing international destinations reached from Paris by this railway (at that time) as well as Paris.

They are from left to right:
Frankfurt
Amsterdam
Warsaw
Brussels
Paris
Berlin
Cologne
London
Vienna

Amsterdam wears a crown and a long gown slung over her right shoulder. In the bend of her right arm she carries some flowers, tulips. With her left hand she leans on a large shield.
